The company was founded by Ilkka Paananen (current CEO of the company), Mikko Kodisoja and a few more people. In 2011, Supercell developed its first game called Gunshine. Beginning

Supercell was founded on May 14, 2010, at NIittykumpu, Finland by Ilkka Paananen and others. Supercell initially received a 400000 euros loan and also raised 750000 euros from seed funding. Paananen and Kodisoja also personally invested 250000 euros in the company. In 2011, Supercell developed its first game called Gunshine. The game was available to play on Facebook and mobile browser. The game was successful and Accel Partners invested €8 million. In November 2011, Supercell shutdown Gunshine because it was hard to play and the portable variant didn’t fill in just as the program adaptation. Supercell considered concentrating on iPad games and dropped the process and idea of developing Facebook games. The company also created five games and launched its first game, Pets vs Orcs which was made public to test. A few months later Pets vs Orcs and Tower were also shut down. Later Atomico, a European venture capital firm also invested in Supercell. In May 2012, Supercell launched Hay Day, a farming simulator. Hay Day was a similar game to FarmVille, a game developed by Zynga. Hay Day included various features like cultivating a test system the capacity to refine items, a creation chain. Hay Day became an internationally successful game and was Supercell’s first international game. The social part of the game was underlined also. The game got one of the most productive games in Apple’s App Store in the US. On August 12, 2012, Supercell released Clash of Clan. This game took six months to develop. Road to Success

Accel Partners invested €8 million. The company also created five games and launched its first game, Pets vs Orcs which was made public to test. In May 2012, Supercell launched Hay Day, a farming simulator. Hay Day became an internationally successful game and was Supercell’s first international game. Supercell’s Clash of Clan was a massive hit in Japan. Masayoshi Son, CEO of SoftBank and his brother, Taizo Son, Chairman of the GungHo, a Japanese video game developer company, both decided to acquired Supercell. Masayoshi and Taizo brought 51% with a value of €1.1 billion. Later in 2015, SoftBank purchased an additional 22.7% stake. SoftBank made a total acquisition of 73.7 % stakes in Supercell. Supercell sold 16.7 % shares for €100 million. In 2012, Supercell was developing a Boom Beach game which was later released in 2014. The new system game was delivered to the test advertisement toward the finish of 2013, after which it experienced huge changes.
