About

Angelina Jolie (formerly known as Jolie Pitt ) is an American actress, filmmaker, and humanitarian. The recipient of numerous accolades, including an Academy Award and three Golden Globe Awards, she has been named Hollywood’s highest-paid actress multiple times. Famously known as Lara croft for her tomb raider movies, she has captured the hearts of millions with her brilliant acting and exquisite looks. Jolie is noted for her humanitarian efforts. She promotes various causes, including conservation, education, and women’s rights, and is most noted for her advocacy on behalf of refugees as a Special Envoy for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR)

Early Life

Angelina Jolie, before making her screen debut as a child alongside her father, Jon Voight, in Lookin’ to Get Out (1982); had initially enrolled and studied theatre at the Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute at a very young age of eleven, following it up with some film studies from the New York University only to join a Met Theatre Group. Looking to expand and grow in her field she picked up modeling and even went on to appear in a few music videos. All these made established the building blocks for the renowned star of a woman that she is known and revered for today. Her film career began in earnest with the low-budget production of Cyborg 2 (1993), followed by her first leading role in a major film, Hackers (1995). She starred in the critically acclaimed biographical cable films George Wallace (1997) and Gia (1998), and won an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for her performance in the drama Girl, Interrupted (1999). Gradually and steadily Angelina reached and completed milestones, committing to her dreams of becoming the actor she had envisaged herself to be. Her success isn't a personal win only but also promotes women all around the world to dare to dream big.

Road to Success

Her starring role as the video game actor Lara Croft in Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) established her as a leading Hollywood actress. She continued her action-star career with Mr. & Mrs. Smith (2005), Wanted (2008), and Salt (2010), and received critical acclaim for her performances in the dramas A Mighty Heart (2007) and Changeling (2008), which earned her a nomination for an Academy Award for Best Actress. Her biggest commercial success came with the fantasy picture Maleficent (2014). In the 2010s, Jolie expanded her career into directing, screenwriting, and producing, with the war dramas In the Land of Blood and Honey (2011), Unbroken (2014), and First They Killed My Father (2017). As a public figure, Jolie has been cited as one of the most influential and powerful people in the American entertainment industry. For a number of years, she was cited as the world’s most beautiful woman by various media outlets. Jolie is also known widely for her humanitarian efforts, for which she has received a Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award and made an honorary Dame Commander of the Order of St Michael and St George (DCMG), among other honors.

Challenges

Amidst the peak of Angelina Jolie's active career and her well endorsed humanitarian actions, she was odiously crushed by the passing of her mother, who was a patient of ovarian cancer. Not having yet fulfilled the dreams of her mother to live as a grandmother, was an agony that Angelina carried and still regrets to this very day. This left her very disturbed, but also motivated enough to take the necessary precautions, making sure she wouldn't have to go through what her mother did. Meanwhile, she did end up taking a sabbatical to recover from the anguish mentally, she returned and continued to perform as strong as ever and left everyone around her inspired by the wisps of her exuberant energy that she seemed to possess. Angelina Jolie hasn't let any personal issue from her life take control of her and stop her in her tracks of reaching out and helping people.

Failures

Just like any other person, Angelina Jolie has had it rough with her marriage failing, which had left her devastated. Though she did try to kick back and turn things around for her mental health. As reported from a significant gossip outlet "Angie is not trying to make things hard on Brad, she just wants to be fair for her and the kids. She is struggling to let go of any lingering resentment and wants to move to a place of healing, love, and forgiveness about her relationship and failed marriage with Brad," With a failing marriage, she also failed at her career, whilst trying very hard and her best to manage the situation at home with their (Angelina and Brad) children. Meanwhile, she had an overwhelming amount of resentment from putting off her career but watching Brad sign movies after movies unbothered, and failing to recognize her efforts.
